A space for listening, reflection, and change.
Counselling and coaching online and in person in Wellington, New Zealand.
ABOUT ME
I'm George Johnston, a counsellor and coach working internationally online and in person in Wellington, New Zealand. I create space where you can be heard, understood, and supported as you navigate what you're actually facing - not what you think you should be facing.
Many of the people I work with are high achievers dealing with anxiety, relationship patterns, identity questions, and life transitions. They're often successful by external measures but unsatisfied internally, or finding that the frameworks that got them here aren't working anymore.
My approach is pluralistic and human-centred, grounded in psychoanalytic, existential, and humanistic principles. I bring both clinical training and eight years working in community mental health and organizational contexts. I understand contemporary professional culture - tech, creative industries, knowledge work - not just psychologically but structurally.
I believe the answers come from you, not me. My role is to help you articulate what you actually want and create conditions for meaningful change. That requires acceptance as foundational - of where you are now, what got you here, and what might come next.
If you're curious about working together, book a free 15-minute call to see if it feels right.
